July 2013: Local law firm Caldwell Martin Cox continues to expand following its recent merger with Kerrisons the Law Firm. The merger will see founder Robert Kerrison and his staff transferred to Caldwell Martin Cox’s two Camden offices, along with all of Kerrisons’ existing matters. The merger increases Caldwell Martin Cox’s staff to more than 40, including 17 solicitors and licensed conveyancers.
Now in his thirtieth year as a solicitor, Robert Kerrison has operated as a solicitor in the Macarthur region since 1984. He is an Accredited Specialist in Family Law and his firm handled all aspects of legal work, including property conveyancing, estate planning, local court appearances, compensation claims, commercial dealings, family law and general litigation.
“It is a great feeling being a part of such a large and talented team, and I’m looking forward to introducing my range of clients to Caldwell Martin Cox,” Mr Kerrison says. “I have known the partners and many of the staff at Caldwell Martin Cox for over 20 years on a personal level and have always been impressed with the quality of their service and the way they run their business,” he adds.
This is Caldwell Martin Cox’s second major merger, following the acquisition of local law firm A G Johnson & Son in 2012. When asked if they have any plans for further expansion, managing partner Angus Cox replied, “We are very happy with our current position and have no immediate plans for any further mergers. Gregg Johnson, Robert Kerrison and their great staff have been a terrific fit for Caldwell Martin Cox and we now want to get on with providing the best possible advice and service to our clients.”
